Personality Quiz: 50/50 Introverted/Extroverted

This project was an interesting one. The assessment brief required the class to take a personality quiz on the first session and then create a structure based on those findings. The design had to be situated within a physical location in Wellington, and use and respond to the existing structures of the site.

The chosen location was on the Wellington waterfront, on a corner of the wharf between the SS Hikitia and Frank Kitts Park. Below is the result of an iterative design process, responding to the geometrical shapes of the old SS Hikitia’s crane and the 50/50 introvert/extrovert findings of the personality quiz. An inflated glass sphere encloses the user while they stare out at the “skewed” landscape.

Programs used: Rhino and Twinmotion
